Went in to buy a new Weber grill today. Turns out they don't sell you the one on the floor and you have to wait for someone to put one together (they said it would be two days). We wanted to grill today so went to Home Depot and they sold us their floor model no problem. Not sure how that policy is working out for you but didn't make since to me.
Great product selection. They often have high end appliances on sale. You can get holiday decorations for home and yard that are spectacular.
Every time I go in there's only one register open with a line stretching back the aisle. Doesn't make for an efficient shopping experience. Today I went in to exchange an outdoor extension cord because I needed a longer one. They refused to "exchange" for me. Said they only do returns and that they had already put it back on my Visa card before they even explained. I pointed out that their sign above the customer service desk says "Returns and Exchanges". The woman explained that the best they could have done was put it on a gift card but it's done now so... I was frustrated and didn't even buy the extension cord there. Ended up going to Home Depot to get one.
Generally I like Lowes. But the last 2 times so dirty and cluttered the center aisle that run horizontally across front of store is filled with so much junk that it is not customer friendly. Can't find help on the floor. Sales might be slow right now but it looks like you are trying to run off the ones you do have!!! You are definitely better than this.
I recently went in to exchange water bottles for new ones and they did not have the 3 gallon I needed. No big deal. They had to refund money, but said to bring receipt and they would honor credit for bottle exchange. A head cashier told me to just give them a call to be sure they have. I tried to call and the REFUSE to answer the phone. I started with the operator and then every dept. until someone finally picked up. It took about 20 minutes and 10 calls to get through. When I finally did I asked if they were having problems with phones and she said no. I asked if they just didn't answer the phone and she said yes!!! Apparently, it is an ongoing problem of them refusing to answer the phone. Customer service was great in person, but they need to work on it on the phones, especially when employee tells me to "just give them a call" like that is an easy task!!!!
