This was a late stop on our trip to New Braunfels. This is a typical RV stop but we bought a day pass (discounted for our late arrival (SCORE!)) and we headed down to the river. The scenery is beautiful and the river is perfect for relaxing in. Alcohol was available at the store on sight and everybody working there was so nice. Would recommend to anyone.
Amazing! The pictures and reviews do no justice. Dj all day Saturday. Karaoke Friday and Saturday nights. Staff was super nice, our campsite was very nice and clean. Each campsite has electricity, water and a picnic table. RESTROOM are new and spotless. I witnessed them cleaning the restroom and he had bleach and a scrub brush! Showers are 0.25 compared to most campsites are $1. I'll never camp anywhere else!!!
Really pretty place. This campsite gets loud at times, but everyone's generally quiet after 12 AM. The only things that weren't too great were 1.) being witness to a man urinating in the river and 2.) A lot of people just casually dropping their beer into the river..
I recently camped there (off season). There was no management there for help. And no ammenitites. Showers were cold, no laundry and no wifi. I stayed a week and was charged 250.00. Rip off. Won't go back.
Gypsy River is at a sweet spot on the river. It was clean and the staff was great. We really liked Patrick at the front desk. There's badass artwork throughout the camp and numerous nice touches. We'll definitely come back here. PSA - If you float ANY river - bring a yellow mesh bag and pickup cans along the way. Be part of the solution!
