We rented for 1 year from this company. When we moved in we were very disappointed with the property. Trash can was half full of trash/debris and water with no lid. Walked in to a hot/humid home the carpet felt disgusting,no sign that the carpet had been professionally clean , dishwasher had standing water in it that did not drain along with other multiple minor damages which we noted on the move in form. We decided to suck it up and figured that we'd just make the best of it. Fast forward over the year any time we placed a work order it was responded to quickly and taken care of by both cbdhr and the vendor. When moving out my husband spent almost 4 hours cleaning this (over) 2800sqft home. We vacuumed, swept, mopped, scrubbed the oven, tubs,sinks, etc. along with the required carpet cleaning. This place looked 10 times better moving out then what we moved into. we were told NOT to repair any holes or wall paint because it could be more expensive to fix if out paint didn't match the original. There was one whole from a doorknob that happened by us along with maybe a 4 inch scratch in the wall from our recliner in the family room. Our deposit was $1275 so we were hoping for at least $800-900 of this back knowing they charge an arm and leg for minor repairs. Well if I would of known that we'd only get $280 and some change back I would of left that dump just as it was. The explanation of repairs that was noted and the amounts that were charged were obsurd!!! $225 to paint a banister in stairwell, $314 to clean home throughout!?!?! We don't have money or time to fight with them to get more of deposit back. We are now happy home OWNERS and hope to never experience a company like this again. Just want to warn future tenants that although they might get take care of your work orders and needs while renting simply DO NOT expect your deposit back and honestly don't break your back tying to clean their property because they plan on keeping that deposit anyways .
Marc at this office is a crook. He will sell property out from under you, lead you on until the last possible minute then not even have the decency to return phone calls when you are trying to get information about the property you think you were able to purchase. I would avoid him and probably this office like the plague.
Will and Trish Crellin are top notch professionals. We were so fortunate to be referred to Will and Trish by my bank and couldn't be happier with them. When first meeting Will, we were struck by how warm and calm of a person he is despite the chaos created by our children playing and talking loudly. Will and Trish are basically a dynamic duo that worked together very well in helping us find the house we bought. Trish handles all the behind-the-scenes search stuff while Will would meet us, whenever we needed him to, to show the property, answer questions, pontificate a bit. They were incredibly patient with us throughout the process and ensured us they were only concerned that we found the house that's right for us. We did and it's because of these two. Thank you so much!
As a tenant, while management company has been efficient enough at handling maintenance issues, they are extremely shady about fees. Midway though our lease, we now have new check processing fees which basically force you to pay through automatic withdrawal or incur monthly fees on top of your rent. None of this was stated in our original lease. Also, do not expect compensation, cooperation, or communication if livable condition requirements are not met due to maintenance issues, forcing you to make temporary housing arrangements. Originally, my spouse and I considered attempting to purchase this property at the conclusion of our lease, but we refuse to help this company line their pockets more than they already are.
In the past 12 years Marc and Mary Rhodes have help us purchase 2 homes and sell 3, and most recently they helped us find our current home in Nov 2014. When we lived almost an hour from their office, they were still willing to list and show our house and they sold it quickly! Marc and Mary have always been extremely professional and punctual about every process of buying and selling a home, they make a great team! Even on the weekends, they always pick up the phone when you call or one of them will call you back within minutes! They are friendly and honest and I highly recommend them!!
