I went when it was 102*F and it was way too hot. Keep that in mind.
Well its not crowded and it was a very open park. It's good for the kids to learn a thing or 2 about the cosmos. The guy was very hospitable and friendly. Although there was a lot of wasp or bees, it is a park that is good if you are in the area.
The biggest thing that stood out to me was how you can tell someone deeply cares about this place. The time and effort that was put into it really conveys multiple messages that the creator was trying to get across. For that alone it's worth 5 stars and a trip.
Lots of information and facts about the planet's and dinosaurs, but then it just falls off and you have to hump your way back. About a mile in, my son got hurt and we were on our own...we went on a cloudy day but it would have been really hard on the kids if the sun has been out. There was a lot of tall weeds right off the trail so take some bug spray. It wasn't what we expected or hoped for but it was still informational for the kids.
You may pull up and scratch your head because it's not the overly developed themepark-like places that are in central Texas. But when you start reading the first sign about the sun, you'll understand why you went. It's chill and a good place to learn while you relax.
It's a well thought out park that isn't commercialized. Spend a couple hours exploring and reading the signs/listening to the narrations. The dinosaurs are cool for kids.
My 2 year old and I loved the park! Lots to learn and get some exercise in as well.
Wasn't too bad of a place. It was neat. Kids looooooved the dinosaurs.
