The bird is now tired after all that happened to it today. We've stopped all the bleeding and it has been eating, so it will most likely be fine. I'm taking it to my vet tomorrow for a checkup.
I also realize that the bird likely came with the wounds from whoever they initially got the bird from. But they really didn't do anything to assist the bird, and in fact probably made it worse re-opening the toe wound.
But jesus christ. It's as if they have no idea how to treat birds properly.

The people are kind, and the stuff they sell is great. But I've now bought 2 birds from them, the first was a parakeet that was so sick that we thought it was female, it eventually got better and we learned that it was male, I guess that's "fine". But earlier today I came in with my family to buy a cockatiel, the bird seemed fine and was semi friendly for a store bought bird. My issue is how aggressive the guy that got the tiel out of the cage was, he pushed it up against the wall of the cage hurting the bird fairly badly. The reason it hurt was because the tiel was missing the ends of multiple toes (with exposed wounds that bled later). So that bird was WAY too unhealthy to be morally sold.
animal overcrowding/neglect. please do not patronize until they change.

I bought feed from them last week, four bags of ProForce equine feed. I got all the way to Victoria to find out it was full of weevils and it was dated for MAY 2016, mind you it was the end of DECEMBER when I purchased the feed. I called and spoke to the manager about it and was very nice! When I got there the following week, he wasn't there and the lady that returned the feed was NOT concerned with the problems they had! This is crazy, if FOUR feed bags have weevils, there is more feed that has it as well!
