No other dentist has taken the time to explain what they were doing, why and the what the long terms effects of things could be. He showed me the x-rays and went through them with me to so I could see what he was talking about. I had 3 cavities which he offered to fill that day since there weren’t any other other appointments afterwards. Being brave, I agreed to get one of them filled and I’d come back for the other ones. The filling was done so fast and without discomfort or pain that next thing I know, I’d agreed and gotten all 3 of them filled! I still have 2 wisdom teeth and he actually explained why he suggested I get them pulled; I’d asked at least 3 other dentist and gotten a vague “they might bother you later” from all of them.

Dr. Allen came over to say hello to us in the waiting room, noticed I was quiet and asked if I was ok (not really). When I got in the chair, my friend told him I was afraid and he jokingly responded that he “spoke dentist” and he could tell when people stopped making eye contact. His sense of humor and calm demeanor helped me stay as relaxed as I could. I didn’t feel judged for being afraid or not having gone to a dentist in so long. He asked about why I was afraid and understood why someone could be scared. Dr. Allen made sure I was ok the entire time he cleaned my teeth and kept reminding me to breathe while chatting and joking with my emotional support friend. He was reassuring without it feeling condescending and kept telling me that I was doing great and that my teeth looked good. I’m sure at the time it didn’t look like I understood what he was saying but it was very reassuring.

Even though I am moving soon, I will be sure to schedule future dentist visits for when I am back in Texas so I can come here. The whole experience was better than I could have imagined and I am so thankful for the time Dr. Allen took to make me feel comfortable and explain what was happening. He also explained some things about insurance so I can pick the best one for me when I get a new job; I’ll just have to make sure it will work at this office.

Dr. Allen chatted with my wife and me to get an idea of our general health and why we were establishing dental care with his office. He's very personable, explaining that he chose to create a small office to replicate the feel of his own childhood dentist's office. He performed our dental cleanings himself (no dental tech) and it was the quickest, least painful cleaning/exam I've ever had (and I've had two a year for the last 25 years). He explained everything he was doing during the cleaning and exam, offered tips and advice about dental care and then reviewed the X-Rays with us. Easily the best dental office I've ever visited, thanks to his choice to keep things small and personal.

Repaired and old root canal done while I was in the Navy. Tooth had began chipping away was not interested in loosing what was left of the tooth. Dr Allen set a crown that has stayed in place. Very pleasant. Explains everything in detail. I wasn't nervous.

I recently visited Ideal Dentistry owned and operated Dr. Daniel E. Allen and family. The visit however was not my first; in fact I am a return patient coming all the way from Austin. It awesome having the Saturday scheduling availability to work with. But even more pleased with a reliable Dentist who is fair priced and good with children. All around great experience! I have some family members who also are very pleased with Dr. Allen work. I wish your new practice was in Austin but totally worth the commute!

I am afraid of dentists and it had been 7 years since I had last seen one. I was scared and embarrassed and brought a friend to literally hold my hand. I was quietly panicking as we walked in. The woman at the front desk was friendly and she helped my friend and I figure out our dental insurance as I filled out the information needed from new patients.

Dr. Allen, his wife, and receptionist are the best of the best! He makes you feel like a friend and puts you at ease; I'm always comfortable in his chair and each procedure seems to wield great results. The staff is incredibly nice and accommodating. So happy to have found this practice.

After I was done, I went back to the waiting room and played with Dr. Allen’s boys while my friend got his teeth cleaned. Having a small pillow fight with a happy child was a great way to feel less anxious and, once I stopped freaking out, it seemed like a pretty cozy office.
