Best water park in the world. We prefer the 'old park' over the 'new park' but both are great. Free parking and you can bring your own outside food/drink into the park. A free tram runs back and forth every few minutes between the old and new side of the park. We have been season pass holders for the last 3-4 years and it's worth every penny.
As for the kids, they loved getting wet and the adrenaline since we don't go to other theme parks, this is a big thrill for them. The family also likes just getting away from the city. Its a good disconnect and the kids pass out on the drive home. Helpful tip, wear sun screen.
This place is so much fun. The original Schlitterbahn park offers a unique experience that you will not find anywhere else. It has become such a popular place; be prepared to wait in long lines. I've never stayed in one of their rooms overnight, but from what I hear, you're better off staying in a hotel outside of the park. Some people might complain about the cost to get into the park, but if you factor in the free parking and the fact that you can bring in your own food, it's much cheaper than going to Six Flags Hurricane Harbor. If it's your first time going to the New Braunfels location, don't forget to catch the free tram ride to the other park.
Great waterpark. It is prices. At around $80 A person. Great for doing once a year. If you live in the area a season pass is way cheaper if you go more than once a year. They have Villas that you can stay up that games you early access to the park. The park itself is usually kept as clean. The water is always cold as it is River fed. Great for tourists and local young and old.
I had the most awe full experience here. I had been wanting to come to this place for years seeing it on tv when I was in Alabama where I’m from. I moved here a couple years ago and finally made it out there more than half the rides were closed including the longest/best one and the 5 rides were literally 3 hours wait each. My family came from Alabama that week it was a Thursday we spent all together around 200$ and only rode 3 rides and we let them no know our horrible experience and they just told us they don’t do refunds OR rain checks. Thanks for letting me down to something I’ve looked forward to since I was a kid!!
I want to give it less stars because I personally did not like the park, However, my kids and family liked the park so I'm putting in their opinion as well. I dislike the fact that customers will put their belongings on tables to reserve them and leave everything there to go play, so when lunch time comes around, there's no where to eat or sit unless you do this as soon as you walk in. The lines are long so get here when it opens and start at the start of the park and work your way down. You will have less lines to wait in in the long run if you do it this way. However, you can only do this effectively at one of the two locations. As soon as you go to the other location the line is so long you're looking at a half hour wait for a six min ride. Are the rides fun? Probably since the kids and family had fun, but its frustrating paying $50.00 when you are going to be chaperoning and not able to fully enjoy the experience. Also the food is not terribly good for the price or the wait. if I'm going to be waiting at lunch time for pizza, it better be really good. Otherwise if its not good pizza, have it cooked up so i don't have to wait for it.
